Cobweb’s unique expertise and experience
We currently employ 14 staff and an intrepid pool of specialist freelance researchers, authors, editors and independent business experts.
We are based in Gateshead (across the river from Newcastle) in the north east of England.
The company has been trading since 1998, although our directors have been publishing business information and providing support (including some of our current product range) at the coal face of business start up and small business development since the 1980s.
In fact, the Cobweb team can boast a unique understanding of micro-enterprise and entrepreneurship, local business support and the small business sector in general.
This has been gained by working face-to-face and directly supporting and encouraging thousands of business start ups and owner managers during the 1980s and ’90s … and of course through publishing the UK’s leading small business information service for the last 14 years.
