We are expanding our services and are seeking talented individuals to join our in-house team and pool of external freelancers.

In particular we are seeking applications for the following posts:

Business writer/researcher

We are looking for someone to join our research and information team to assist with:

• Gathering data and information about a wide range of business markets and business ideas.
• Gathering and verifying information about sources of advice and support for business.
• Researching and writing information for specific factsheets, articles and reports.
• Researching business information to be used in new product developments.

Applicants will ideally have a business-related or English degree (or other professional qualification) and have an understanding or first-hand experience of small business issues. You should be looking to pursue or develop a career in business research and publishing.

Particular skills and personal attributes we are looking for include:

• Demonstrable business research skills.
• Excellent use of English and report writing ability.
• Highly IT literate.
• Comfortable working to tight deadlines.
• Self-disciplined and self-critical.
• Impeccable attention to detail.

We regularly commission individual pieces of work such as topical business articles, news releases, website content and one-off business guides/reports.

In particular we are looking for freelancers with an understanding or experience in the following:

• E-commerce.
• Guerilla marketing.
• Internet marketing.
• Business start up.
• IT in business.
• Social media.

We are always keen to talk to freelance writers, journalists and PR specialists interested in this type of work.
